Our Low Angle Jack makes a great shooting plane, its low angle blade is perfect to take effortless shavings for joint end grain.
The side wall doesn't really make a great comfortable handle so a long while back the No 62 Hot Dog was born.
We CNC machine ours from aircraft grade aluminium with a strong powder coat finish. The stainless steel grub screw has a hard nylon tip to avoid marking the plane side wall when tightened.
It allows you to comfortably push down from the centre of the plane as well as keeping it snug against the shooting board side wall.
